To thoroughly implement national security requirements and enhance awareness of counter-espionage among employees in key sensitive positions, HuaYou organized a specialized training program titled“National Security and Counter-Espionage Prevention”on February 27, 2025. The event included a visit to the Four-Province Border Regional Comprehensive National Security Education Center and a professional lecture, aimed at elevating employees’capabilities to address security risks in daily operations.
The event commenced with an immersive tour of the education center and screenings of documentary films. Through studying the history of China’s counter-espionage efforts and experiencing interactive exhibits on covert espionage tactics, participants gained a profound understanding of the severe challenges facing national security, the complexity of counter-espionage work, and the urgency of corporate risk prevention.
During the training session, an officer from the Quzhou Municipal State Security Bureau delivered a keynote lecture titled Essentials and Practices of Corporate Counter-Espionage Prevention. By integrating typical case studies with practical experience, he provided systematic guidance from multiple dimensions, including risk identification, preventive measures, and emergency response. The officer emphasized that seemingly minor oversights in daily operations could conceal significant hazards. He urged enterprises to strengthen internal governance, ensure cybersecurity, and empower employees to adhere to protocols and avoid falling prey to malicious actors.
Following the training, Xi Hong, General Manager of the Audit and Supervision Center, chaired a summary and discussion session.
Qian Haidong, General Manager of the Operations Center, initiated the discussion by emphasizing that the company's resources and products are vital to China's energy storage strategic security. He stressed the imperative to uphold the holistic approach to national security with heightened vigilance, translating the knowledge gained today into actionable capabilities to safeguard both corporate trade secrets and the security of national strategic resources.
Senior executives, including Purchasing Manager Zhu Kai from the Group Headquarters and South Korea Operations Director Zheng Jixing from the New Materials Division, shared practical insights tailored to their roles, bridging theory with real-world applications to align priorities across teams.
Fang Yuan, Vice President of the company, delivered concluding remarks outlining four key requirements: elevating security awareness, optimizing internal mechanisms, intensifying supervision and inspection, and fortifying technical safeguards. He emphasized that every employee must internalize national security consciousness and translate this awareness into concrete actions through daily operations. All departments were instructed to conduct comprehensive reviews and enhancements of existing security management systems, establishing coordinated collaboration mechanisms to maximize the effectiveness of risk prevention frameworks across all operational dimensions. Furthermore, the company must continuously upgrade its technical defense capabilities, while strengthening accountability mechanisms through rigorous inspections and disciplinary measures for non-compliance.
This integrated program of “l(fā)earning, reflection, practice, and application” has significantly elevated employees’security awareness and operational readiness. Moving forward, HuaYou will deepen national security education, refine risk prevention systems, and reinforce its defenses with concrete measures to ensure corporate growth aligns with national strategic imperatives.
